Hina Siddiqui, PsyD, ABPP
Owner | Clinical Psychologist
Professional Experience
Dr. Hina Siddiqui (she/her) is a board-certified clinical psychologist licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She has been practicing in Minnesota for 18 years and obtained her Wisconsin license in 2021.
As a PSYPACT provider, Dr. Siddiqui holds an E.Passport, allowing her to offer telehealth services across 42 states in the U.S. She earned board certification in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2020.
Dr. Siddiqui founded her private practice, Insights Psychology, in 2017.
Professional Interests
Dr. Siddiqui is a generalist clinician who provides care across the lifespan, working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Dr. Siddiqui’s professional interests include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety, trauma-focused treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and women’s mental health concerns including fertility challenges and postpartum depression. She also works with individuals managing comorbid medical conditions, eating-related concerns, and mood disorders.
Dr. Siddiqui conducts specialized psychological evaluations, including pre-surgical bariatric assessments, disability evaluations, and forensic assessments. She has extensive experience working with ethnically diverse populations and underserved communities.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Siddiqui serves as a panel psychologist for the Social Security Administration, conducting disability evaluations. She also provides clinical supervision to post-doctoral residents, psychology interns, and doctoral practicum students.
Samia Ali, BA

Office Manager

Samia Ali (she/her) is the office manager at Insights Psychology. Ms. Ali serves as the first point of contact for new clients, answers client phone calls, schedules clinical visits, verifies insurance, supports our providers and clients, and helps with maintaining the general running of our practice.
Professional Interests
Ms. Ali graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A in Developmental Psychology in 2023. Ms. Ali has experience working in the mental health field as an intern at a mental health clinic for young children. She also brings over various experiences from different fields such as research, customer service, diversity & inclusion, and more.

Mollie Newhouse, PsyD, LP

Clinical Psychologist & Supervisor
Professional Experience
Dr. Mollie Newhouse (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Newhouse graduated from the counseling psychology doctoral program at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in August 2021. She completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Allina Health, and post-doctoral residency at Insights Psychology in 2022. Dr. Newhouse received her license in Minnesota in August 2023.
Dr. Newhouse also has a Masters’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University. She has provided clinical services for nine years.
As a PSYPACT provider, Dr. Newhouse has an e-passport and offers telehealth services in 40 states in the United States.
Professional Interests
Dr. Newhouse works with teens (16 and older) and adults. Her areas of interest are chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, eating disorders, rehabilitation psychology, adjustment to disability and illness, and psychological evaluations.
Dr. Newhouse utilizes several approaches in her work with clients including CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Behavioral Activation. Dr. Newhouse is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Marcia Bennett, PhD, LP

Dr. Marcia Bennett (she/her) is a licensed psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Bennett graduated with a doctoral degree in community/clinical psychology from the University of Nebraska in 1992. She completed an APA accredited predoctoral internship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Bennett has been licensed in Minnestoa since 1993.
Dr. Bennett has worked in a variety of clinical settings providing therapy, assessment, and consultative services to individual clients (infancy through adulthood), couples, groups, and community agencies. For the last 25 years, Dr. Bennett worked as a professor in Clinical Psychology doctoral programs in Minnesota.
Professional Interests
Dr. Bennett provides psychological services to individuals throughout the lifespan. She has specialized skills in the treatment of children, adolescents and families. She has a special interest in developmental psychopathology and attachment. Dr. Bennett has significant knowledge and experience with the following concerns: trauma, mood disorders, developmental issues, learning and attentional concerns and intelligence.
Dr. Bennett incorporates developmental and contextual elements in her psychological work. Because people develop throughout their lifespans and are best understood within their contexts, Dr. Bennett offers clients the ability to grow and change across their own unique developmental pathways. Dr. Bennett uses her community clinical psychology education/training to assist clients in dealing with community influences including schools, social services, courts and medicine.

Amy Serna, PsyD, CCW

Dr. Amy Serna (she/her) is a post-doctoral resident at Insights Psychology. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota—Twin Cities, graduating from the doctor in counseling psychology (Psy.D.) program in 2022. In addition, Dr. Serna holds a professional certificate in animal-assisted therapy and is a certified crisis worker. She has provided supervised mental health services for over eight years.
Throughout her training, Dr. Serna gained experience in various settings, including crisis counseling, community mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and college counseling. She completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Stillwater Correctional Facility in Bayport, Minnesota, and her post-doctoral residency at Insights Psychology. Her experience encompasses providing individual psychotherapy across the lifespan, conducting psychological assessments, and offering crisis counseling. Along with her clinical work, Dr. Serna enjoys teaching psychology in higher education, helping to train future therapists.

Marissa Ellis, PsyD

Dr. Marissa Ellis (she/her) is a post-doctoral resident at Insights Psychology. Dr. Ellis spent four years in the United States Air Force as a Respiratory Therapist from 2014-2018. She graduated from the clinical psychology (PsyD) program at William James College in 2023. Dr. Ellis completed an APA-accredited Consortium at Roger Williams University Counseling Center in Bristol, RI in 2023, and her postdoctoral Fellowship at Boston College University Counseling Services in 2024. Her experiences include individual psychotherapy with adolescent and adult populations at school and university settings.
Professional Interests
Dr. Ellis works with adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest are anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal concerns, identity development, LGBTQIA+ and Veteran related struggles, relationship and family issues, and academic issues. Dr. Ellis provides individual and couples therapy services.
Dr. Ellis utilizes a Relational-Psychodynamic and Humanistic approaches in therapy. Some of the evidence based therapeutic treatments she provides is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Andrea Ramirez, PsyD

Dr. Andi Ramirez (they/them) is a post-doctoral resident at Insights Psychology. Dr. Ramirez earned their Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from The Chicago School in Anaheim, CA in 2025. They completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. They earned their master’s in clinical psychology (M.A.) from The Chicago School in Anaheim, CA.
Dr. Ramirez has worked across a range of clinical settings, including private practice, community mental health, and residential treatment programs, providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Their therapeutic work is grounded in a Relational-Psychodynamic framework, and they integrate interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.
Professional Interests
Dr. Ramirez’s professional interests include working with adolescents (ages 13–17) and adults experiencing concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, and issues impacting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. As a bilingual clinician, they provide services in both English and Spanish.

Amber Nasers, MS

Amber Nasers, MS (she/her) is a predoctoral intern at Insights Psychology. She earned her master’s of science degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Capella University in 2020. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, with expected graduation in 2026. Amber has provided supervised mental health services for six years.
Throughout her training, Amber has gained experience in various settings including crisis intervention, community mental health, substance use, co-occurring disorders, and working with neurodivergence. She has completed her practicum in group therapeutic services for substance use and co-occurring disorders as well as comprehensive assessments. Her experience encompasses providing individual psychotherapy across the life span, facilitating and co-facilitating group therapeutic services with an emphasis on psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and conducting psychological assessments.

Arshi Muhammad, MD
Psychiatrist
Professional Experience
Dr. Arshi Muhammad (she/her) is an adult psychiatrist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Muhammad is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Muhammad graduated from medical school in Pakistan and completed her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Muhammad has been practicing psychiatry since 2005.
Professional Interests
Dr. Muhammad has extensive experience in working with medically and psychiatrically complex individuals. Dr. Muhammad has worked in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry settings.
Dr. Muhammad’s special interest is in working with perinatal clients and the immigrant population. Dr. Muhammad takes a holistic approach in evaluating her clients and takes into account the biological and psychosocial aspects of the patients.

Ms. April Brandt (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Insights in Psychology.
Ms. Brandt graduated from the clinical social work joint program at Saint Catherine’s University and the University of St. Thomas in August 2011.
She also has a Master of Arts certificate in Holistic Health Studies from Saint Catherine University.

Ms. Brandt has been a Social Worker since 2005, and in clinical practice since 2010.
Ms. Brandt utilizes a strengths-based framework and draws from several modalities to treat a wide range of mental health symptoms, and conditions such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. She is a generalist who works with children (ages 8+), adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Ms. Brandt is a clinical supervisor approved by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
James “JB” Soto, PsyD

Dr. James “JB” Sotto will begin as a Postdoctoral Resident at Insights Psychology in Fall of 2026. He completed his doctoral internship at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation’s Community Mental Health & Wellness program in St. Paul, MN, with additional didactic training through the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis. His clinical training also includes work at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and NUWAY Addiction and Mental Health Treatment.
Dr. Sotto provides psychological evaluations for individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on adults. His work spans neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental profiles (e.g., autism, ADHD), as well as mood, anxiety, trauma, and OCD-related concerns. He has extensive experience serving diverse cultural and linguistic communities, including immigrants, refugees, and asylees, with particular focus on how identity, culture, and life circumstances shape psychological functioning. He is also trained in EMDR.

LJ Taugher, MA (he/him) starts as a predoctoral psychology intern at Insight Psychology in Fall of 2026. He earned his Master in Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2020. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in counseling psychology (PsyD) with an expected graduation in 2027.
Though his training, LJ has gained experience in various settings including community mental health, in home therapy and services, college counseling, LGBTQ+ community, health care settings, substance use, neurodivergent populations, serious and persistent mental illness, psychological assessments, and others. LJ also has 20+ years of experience working in business prior to becoming a therapist, bringing practical lived experience of various business roles and fields.

LJ works with teens through older adults. He is intentional about tailoring therapy to work with what a person needs and to align with their lived experiences. LJ works with a range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, life transitions, LGBTQ+, ADHD, and autism along with others.

Tamera Drechsler, MA

Tamera Drechsler, MA (She/Her) will begin her predoctoral psycholgy internship at Insights Psychology in Fall of 2026. Tamera earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Research from Capella University in 2023. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Capella University and anticipates graduating in 2027.
Prior to beginning doctoral training, Tamera spent more than nine years providing direct patient care in medical settings, including family practice, pediatrics, dermatology, surgery, and outpatient psychiatry. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for the connection between physical and mental health while strengthening her skills in patient advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compassionate care.
Throughout her doctoral training, Tamera has gained clinical experience providing individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. She has experience facilitating psychoeducational, skills-based, process, and supported meal groups within an intensive outpatient setting, conducting structured assessments, interpreting assessment data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams. Her training has further emphasized psychological assessment, case conceptualization, evidence-based interventions, and providing care that is individualized and culturally responsive.

Ashley Dimas, MA, LADC, LMFT

Ashley is a predoctoral intern at Insights psychology. She earned her Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of St. Thomas in 2017. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the University of St. Thomas with expected graduation in 2027. Ashley has also provided services as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor over the last 7 years.
Over the years, Ashley has gained experience various settings including community based mental health, substance use, co-occurring disorders for adults and adolescents, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment programs, group therapy, and private practice. Ashley completed practicums in individual, family, and couples therapy along with providing neuropsychological assessment. Her experience encompasses providing individual, family, and couples therapy across the lifespan, facilitating and co-facilitating group therapeutic services with an emphasis on psychoeducation, conducting psychological assessments, and crisis intervention.

Ashley works with kids, adolescents (13-17), and adults experiencing concerns with anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues impacting LGBTQ+ communities. Ashley also works with clients who are active-duty military, veterans, first responders, families of military and first responders, adjustment challenges, substance use concerns, co-occurring disorders, family dynamics, and coping with stressors that can impact a person’s life. Ashley also has special interest in providing psychological assessment. She employs a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach with elements of other techniques like person centered therapy, narrative therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. Ashley believes in providing compassionate and empathetic care while utilizing evidence-based approaches that allow for the most effective results. Ashley believes in developing a strong therapeutic alliance for the client to experience a safe and trusting space to do their most vulnerable work in. Ashley enjoys helping clients be able to identify their emotions and negative patterns they have been stuck in to begin taking steps towards long-lasting change. Shawna Benson, PsyD, LP

Dr. Shawna Benson (she/her) is a clinical health service psychologist and an affiliated provider with Insights Psychology. She provides training, consultation, and supervision to our team. Dr. Benson has been a practicing clinical psychologist in Minnesota since 2005.
Professional Interests
Dr. Benson enjoys helping clients through the psychological testing and evaluation process of bariatric weight loss surgery, international adoption, and general mental health assessments.
Dr. Benson works mostly with adolescents and adults going through life transitions, mental health challenges, addictions (dual issues of substance abuse problems with mental health difficulties), trauma recovery, and relationship struggles.
Dr. Benson uses evidence-based interventions, primarily cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy.

Brad Houghton, PsyD, LP

Dr. Brad Houghton (he/him) is a licensed clinical psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Houghton provides training, consultation, and supervision to our trainees. Dr. Houghton has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 2005. His clinical experience has spanned over 20 years in community mental health.
Professional Interests
Working with clients across the lifespan has been a strong interest for Dr. Houghton. He works with ages infant to adult, with a focus on developmental functioning. Some of the issues Dr. Houghton works with are depression, anxiety, mood disorder, life transitions, family conflict, trauma, grief/loss, self-esteem, and weight loss.
In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Houghton works with couples and families. He also does parent coaching. Dr. Houghton utilizes EMDR and hypnosis for trauma as well as DBT for effective self-regulation.
Additionally, Dr. Houghton’s area of expertise is psychological testing with a focus on developmental difficulties, personality, and Therapeutic Assessment.

Shenae Lundberg, MA (she/her) is a practicum student at Insights Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas.
Shenae earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (2025) and her Bachelor of Science from the Union College (2015). Her clinical experience includes inpatient mental health services, crisis intervention, outpatient community-based therapy, and case management.
Shenae will provide clinical services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist at Insights Psychology.

Shenae works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relational concerns, trauma-related challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and significant life transitions. She enjoys supporting individuals who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about how to move forward. Shenae also has a particular interest in working with individuals navigating high-stress or demanding environments, including but not limited to healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel, veterans, and athletes.

Latishia Carter (She/Her) is a practicum student at Insights Psychology. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Capella University.
Latishia holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from University of St. Mary’s of Minnesota, and is licensed as an LPCC in MN. Latishia has provided clinical services in a variety of mental health settings for several years.

Professional Experience
Remington Solstad (he/him) is a pre-licensed therapy practicum student at Insights Psychology who sees clients in our Woodbury clinic. Remington earned his Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2023. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in counseling psychology (PsyD) at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Remington is in his 3rd year in the program and has 2 years experience providing clinical services under supervision in individual therapy. Remington provides services at Insights Psychology under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
Professional Interests
Remington utilizes an integrative approach to therapy while combining Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through teaching skills to help manage emotions and improve relationships and identifying ineffective thought patterns and behaviors, Remington’s priority is to support individuals while they gain confidence, independence, and competency to live a more fulfilling life.
Remington approaches each client with openness and believes in addressing each concern in a manner that fits their personal needs. Remington believes in creating a strong client-clinician relationship to provide the most effective environment for client’s personal growth. Remington prides himself on meeting clients where they are and working to find the best approach to therapy for each client. Remington’s areas of interest include working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficulties anxiety, depression, life changes, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.
