Hina Siddiqui, PsyD, ABPP

Owner | Clinical Psychologist

Professional Experience

Dr. Hina Siddiqui is a board-certified clinical psychologist licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Dr. Siddiqui has been practicing as a psychologist in MN for 16 years. She was licensed in WI in 2021.

As a PSYPACT provider, she has an e-passport and offers telehealth services in 37 states in the United States. Dr. Siddiqui earned board certification in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2020.

Professional Interest
Dr. Siddiqui is a generalist and works with children, adolescents, and adults including the geriatric population.

Dr. Siddiqui’s professional interests include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety management, individual psychotherapy for trauma including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), women’s mental health (fertility issues, postpartum depression), and specialized psychological evaluations including forensic assessments.

Dr. Siddiqui has competence in working with diverse populations and ethnic minorities. Arshi Muhammad, MD

Psychiatrist

Professional Experience
Dr. Arshi Muhammad is an adult psychiatrist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Muhammad is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Muhammad graduated from medical school in Pakistan and completed her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Muhammad has been practicing psychiatry since 2005.
Professional Interest
Dr. Muhammad has extensive experience in working with medically and psychiatrically complex individuals. Dr. Muhammad has worked in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry settings.

Dr. Muhammad’s special interest is in working with perinatal clients and the immigrant population. Dr. Muhammad takes a holistic approach in evaluating her clients and takes into account the biological and psychosocial aspects of the patients.

Iris Medini, MD

Psychiatrist

Professional Experience
Dr. Iris Medini is an adult psychiatrist with Insights Psychology. She has over 20 years of experience treating adults. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.

She completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Medini is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She has treated patients in multiple treatment settings including outpatient clinics, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs/inpatient psychiatric units and electroconvulsive therapy.

Professional Interest
Dr. Medini focuses her care on Women’s Mental Health and has extensive experience treating people with many different psychiatric diagnoses including mood disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, OCD, ADHD as well as psychotic disorders.

Dr. Medini provides individualized care to her patients that is tailored to each person’s symptoms, history, and life circumstances. She listens to her patients and encourages them to participate in planning their individual treatment. She believes that emotional healing is possible, and encourages her patients to engage in therapy, healthy nutrition, and physical activity as much as possible.

She also believes that yoga, meditation, and mindfulness are important practices to achieve overall health and wellbeing.

Amy Carrison, PsyD, LP

Clinical Psychologist

Professional Experience
Dr. Amy Carrison  is a licensed psychologist and licensed drug and alcohol counselor who has worked in a variety of clinical settings with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Carrison earned her Master’s in counseling and Psychological services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2008. She earned her Doctoral Degree (PsyD) from Saint Mary’s University in Counseling Psychology in 2016.
Professional Interest
Dr. Carrison has expertise in psychological testing including ADHD evaluations, cognitive assessments, personality assessments, and autism spectrum evaluations across all age ranges (6 and older).

In her therapy practice, Dr. Carrison sees a variety of age groups including children (age 6+), adolescents, and adults. She enjoys helping clients learn new skills that can help them achieve the goals they set for themselves. Dr. Carrison works with clients who have depression, anxiety, grief/loss, substance abuse concerns, executive functioning challenges, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Carrison uses a solution focused, client centered approach that is Cognitive Behavioral based. She also uses other therapy approaches the client may need. Dr. Carrison’s primary goal in therapy is to help clients enhance and develop skills that can be used in daily life settings.

Mollie Newhouse, PsyD, LP

Dr. Mollie Newhouse is a Licensed Psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Newhouse graduated from the counseling psychology doctoral program at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in August 2021. She completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Allina Health, and post-doctoral residency at Insights Psychology in 2022. Dr. Newhouse received her license in Minnesota in August 2023.

Dr. Newhouse also has a Masters’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University. She has provided clinical services for nine years.

Professional Interest

Dr. Newhouse works with teens and adults. Her areas of interest are chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, eating disorders, rehabilitation psychology, adjustment to disability and illness, and psychological evaluations.

Dr. Newhouse utilizes several approaches in her work with clients including CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Behavioral Activation.

Dr. Amy Serna is a post-doctoral resident with Insights Psychology. She graduated from the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in November 2022. Dr. Serna completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Minnesota Correctional Facility-Stillwater in September 2022.

Dr. Serna also has a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, is a certified crisis worker through the American Association of Suicidology, and has experience providing therapy via telehealth. Dr. Serna has over six years of experience providing supervised clinical services.

Professional Interest

Dr. Serna works with individuals ranging across the lifespan, from ages eight to adult. Her areas of interest are helping individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, trauma, severe and persistent mental illness, and substance-use-related issues. She also enjoys helping individuals through psychological testing and evaluations.

Dr. Serna utilizes a Person-Centered framework in her work and incorporates aspects of multicultural, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based approaches to aid her clients in building insight and working with their challenges.

Hannah Flanery

Post Doctoral Resident

Professional Experience

Ms. Hannah Flanery is a post-doctoral resident with Insights Psychology. Hannah completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in the Intertribal Behavioral Health Program at the Nebraska Consortium in Professional Psychology in August 2023. Hannah will be graduating from her doctoral program at the University of South Dakota in October 2023.

Hannah has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from University of South Dakota and has provided supervised clinical services for six years.

Professional Interest
Hannah works with individuals and families of all ages. Her areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, suicidality, interpersonal concerns, LGBTQIA+ related struggles, and psychological testing and evaluations.

Hannah utilizes a Person-Centered approach. Some of the evidenced based therapeutic treatments she provides includeTime Limited Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Ms. April Brandt is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Insights in Psychology.

Ms. Brandt graduated from the clinical social work joint program at Saint Catherine’s University and the University of St. Thomas in August 2011.

She also has a Master of Arts certificate in Holistic Health Studies from Saint Catherine University.

Ms. Brandt has been a Social Worker since 2005, and in clinical practice since 2010.

Ms. Brandt utilizes a strengths-based framework and draws from several modalities to treat a wide range of mental health symptoms, and conditions such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. She is a generalist who works with children (ages 8+), adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Shawna Benson, PsyD, LP

Dr. Shawna Benson is a clinical health service psychologist and an affiliated provider with Insights Psychology.  She provides training, consultation, and supervision to our team. Dr. Benson has been a practicing clinical psychologist in Minnesota since 2005.

Dr. Benson enjoys helping clients through the psychological testing and evaluation process of bariatric weight loss surgery, international adoption, and general mental health assessments.

Dr. Benson works mostly with adolescents and adults going through life transitions, mental health challenges, addictions (dual issues of substance abuse problems with mental health difficulties), trauma recovery, and relationship struggles.

Dr. Benson uses evidence-based interventions, primarily cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy.

Dr. Mills has been practicing as a licensed psychologist since 2015.

Dr. Mills is a generalist and works with children, adolescents, and adults. She treats a broad range of clinical concerns including: anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma/PTSD, and behavioral concerns.  

In addition, she has experience treating individuals affected by a substance use disorder (individuals currently wanting to decrease use, in early recovery, family members, and individuals exposed in utero to substances).

Professional Interest
Dr. Mills incorporates aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and interpersonal neurobiology into her practice.

Dr. Mills also holds certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Practice Coordinator

Professional Experience
Safa Ali is the Practice Coordinator at Insights Psychology. She assists with new client inquiries, answering client calls, insurance verification, scheduling initial visits, and supporting our providers and clients.
Professional Interest
Ali is a junior at the University of Minnesota, obtaining her B.S. in psychology with a neuroscience minor. Ali is interested in pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology. She has experience in the mental health field as a Mental Health Coordinator in an adult psychiatry facility. She also worked in business administration as a receptionist a medical clinic.
Lindy Fortin-Case, MSW, LICSW

Licensed Therapist

Professional Experience

Ms. Lindy Fortin-Case a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with Insights Psychology. She earned her Master of Social Work Degree from University of Tennessee/Nashville in 2004. Ms. Fortin-Case has more than 20 years of experience working with youth, adults, and families. The most recent 15 years of her work experience has been specifically with Veterans in transition and for their suicide prevention.

Professional Interest
Ms. Lindy Fortin-Case uses an eclectic, strength-based approach based in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy skills. She primarily work with adults and teens (15+) around issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, transition/adjustment issues, and grief & loss. Ms. Fortin-Case believes that therapy can be challenging, and she strives to work with her clients pace to support them in meeting their goals.

Allison Cunningham, MA

Pre-Licensed Doctoral Candidate | Practicum Therapist

Allison Cunningham is a pre-licensed advanced practicum student. They are pursuing their doctoral degree in counseling psychology (PsyD) at the University of Saint Thomas. They are a second-year student in the program and have one year of clinical experience providing services under supervision to a wide range of ages, from adolescents to retirement-age folks.
Professional Interest

Allison enjoys working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic pain, or transitional life periods.  Allison works with children (8 and older), adolescents, and adults. Allison is especially interested in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Allison’s priority in therapy is making sure their clients feel safe and validated, and they primarily use modalities such as ACT, CBT, and emotion-focused therapy. Allison provides clinical services at Insights Psychology under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
