Hina Siddiqui, PsyD, ABPP

Owner | Clinical Psychologist

Professional Experience

Dr. Hina Siddiqui is a board-certified clinical psychologist licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Dr. Siddiqui has been practicing as a clinical psychologist in MN for 18 years. She was licensed in WI in 2021.

As a PSYPACT provider, she has an e-passport and offers telehealth services in 40 states in the United States. Dr. Siddiqui earned board certification in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2020.

Professional Interest

Dr. Siddiqui is a generalist and works with children, adolescents, and adults including the geriatric population.

Dr. Siddiqui’s professional interests include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety management, individual psychotherapy for trauma including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), women’s mental health (fertility issues, postpartum depression), and specialized psychological evaluations including forensic assessments.

Samia Ali, BA

Office Manager

Professional Experience

Samia Ali is the office manager at Insights Psychology. Ms. Ali serves as the first point of contact for new clients, answers client phone calls, schedules clinical visits, verifies insurance, supports our providers and clients, and helps with maintaining the general running of our practice.

Professional Interest
Ms. Ali graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A in Developmental Psychology in 2023. Ms. Ali has experience working in the mental health field as an intern at a mental health clinic for young children. She also brings over various experiences from different fields such as research, customer service, diversity & inclusion, and more.

Mollie Newhouse, PsyD, LP

Professional Experience

Dr. Mollie Newhouse is a Licensed Psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Newhouse graduated from the counseling psychology doctoral program at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in August 2021. She completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Allina Health, and post-doctoral residency at Insights Psychology in 2022. Dr. Newhouse received her license in Minnesota in August 2023.

Dr. Newhouse also has a Masters’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University. She has provided clinical services for nine years.

As a PSYPACT provider, Dr. Newhouse has an e-passport and offers telehealth services in 40 states in the United States.

Dr. Newhouse works with teens (16 and older) and adults. Her areas of interest are chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, eating disorders, rehabilitation psychology, adjustment to disability and illness, and psychological evaluations.

Samantha Kallberg, PsyD, LP

Professional Experience

Dr. Samantha Kallberg is a licensed clinical psychologist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Kallberg earned her Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bethel University in 2017. Dr. Kallberg earned her doctorate degree (PsyD) in counseling psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in September 2022. She completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Canvas Health in 2022, and post-doctoral residency at CARE Counseling in September 2023. Dr. Kallberg earned her license as a psychologist in Minnesota in October 2023. 

As a PSYPACT provider, Dr. Kallberg has an e-passport and offers telehealth services in 40 states in the United States.

Dr. Kallberg provides individual therapy for adults 18 and older. She provides therapy for a wide range of mental health symptoms, including body dysmorphic disorder, problematic eating patterns, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Dr. Kallberg incorporates several modalities in her work including internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic, compassion-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Amy Carrison, PsyD, LP

Clinical Psychologist

Professional Experience
Dr. Amy Carrison  is a licensed psychologist and licensed drug and alcohol counselor who has worked in a variety of clinical settings with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Carrison earned her Master’s in counseling and Psychological services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2008. She earned her Doctoral Degree (PsyD) from Saint Mary’s University in Counseling Psychology in 2016.
Professional Interest
Dr. Carrison has expertise in psychological testing including ADHD evaluations, cognitive assessments, personality assessments, and autism spectrum evaluations across all age ranges (6 and older).

In her therapy practice, Dr. Carrison sees a variety of age groups including children (age 6+), adolescents, and adults. She enjoys helping clients learn new skills that can help them achieve the goals they set for themselves. Dr. Carrison works with clients who have depression, anxiety, grief/loss, substance abuse concerns, executive functioning challenges, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.

Hannah Flanery, PhD

Dr. Hannah Flanery is a post doctoral resident at Insights Psychology. Dr. Flanery completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in the Intertribal Behavioral Health Program at the Nebraska Consortium in Professional Psychology in August 2023. She graduated from her doctoral program at the University of South Dakota in December 2023.

Dr. Flanery has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from University of South Dakota and has provided supervised clinical services for six years.

Dr. Flanery works with children (6 and older), adolescents, and adults. She also works with couples and families. Her areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, stress, grief, interpersonal concerns, family/relationship issues, Behavioral concerns with children, academic issues, LGBTQIA+ related struggles, and psychological testing and evaluations.

Aura Chasteen, PsyD


Post Doctoral Resident

Professional Experience

Dr. Aura Chasteen is advanced post-doctoral resident with Insights Psychology. She graduated from the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in December 2021. Dr. Chasteen completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship with the Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium (AK-PIC) and her postdoctoral fellowship through the Alaska Tribal Fellowship in 2022, both located in Nome, Alaska.

Dr. Chasteen has worked in the mental health field, in various positions, for over twenty years. She received a Master of Science in Education degree in School Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, in 2000, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, in 2014. She has nearly a decade of experience working in the chemical dependency field and has worked extensively with underserved populations affected by high rates of suicidality, generational and historical trauma, and complex issues such as co-occurring physical and mental disorders. Throughout her career she has delivered both in-person and telehealth services. Dr. Chasteen is experienced in working with clients living in remote areas with limited infrastructure.

Dr. Chasteen works with children (12 and older), teens, and adults who are coping with depression, anxiety, mood disorder, trauma, grief/loss, substance abuse disorder, and adjustment disorders. She works with individuals who have comorbid health issues such as diabetes and cancer. She utilizes a strengths-based and holistic approach to therapy and encourages clients to be fully active and equal participants in their own therapeutic journeys. Marissa Ellis, PsyD

Post Doctoral Resident

Professional Experience

Dr. Marissa Ellis (she/hers) is an advanced post-doctoral resident at Insights Psychology. She starts employment at Insights Psychology in August 2024. Dr. Ellis spent four years in the United States Air Force as a Respiratory Therapist from 2014-2018. She graduated from the clinical psychology (PsyD) program at William James College in 2023. Dr. Ellis completed an APA-accredited Consortium at Roger Williams University Counseling Center in Bristol, RI in 2023, and her postdoctoral Fellowship at Boston College University Counseling Services in 2024. Her experiences include individual psychotherapy with adolescent and adult populations at school and university settings.

Professional Interest

Dr. Ellis works with adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest are anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal concerns, identity development, LGBTQIA+ and Veteran related struggles, relationship and family issues, and academic issues.

Arshi Muhammad, MD

Psychiatrist

Professional Experience
Dr. Arshi Muhammad is an adult psychiatrist with Insights Psychology. Dr. Muhammad is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Muhammad graduated from medical school in Pakistan and completed her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Muhammad has been practicing psychiatry since 2005.
Professional Interest
Dr. Muhammad has extensive experience in working with medically and psychiatrically complex individuals. Dr. Muhammad has worked in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry settings.

Dr. Muhammad’s special interest is in working with perinatal clients and the immigrant population. Dr. Muhammad takes a holistic approach in evaluating her clients and takes into account the biological and psychosocial aspects of the patients.

April Brandt, MSW, LICSW

Ms. April Brandt is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Insights in Psychology.

Ms. Brandt graduated from the clinical social work joint program at Saint Catherine’s University and the University of St. Thomas in August 2011.

She also has a Master of Arts certificate in Holistic Health Studies from Saint Catherine University.

Ms. Brandt has been a Social Worker since 2005, and in clinical practice since 2010.

Brad Houghton, PsyD, LP


Clinical Supervisor

Professional Experience

Dr. Brad Houghton is a licensed clinical psychologist and an affiliated provider with Insights Psychology.  He provides training, consultation, and supervision to our trainees. Dr. Houghton has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 2005. His clinical experience has spanned over 20 years in community mental health.

Professional Interest

Working with clients across the lifespan has been a strong interest for Dr. Houghton. He works with ages infant to adult, with a focus on developmental functioning. Some of the issues Dr. Houghton works with are depression, anxiety,  mood disorder, life transitions, family conflict, trauma, grief/loss, self-esteem, and weight loss.

In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Houghton works with couples and families. He also does parent coaching.  Dr. Houghton utilizes EMDR and hypnosis for trauma as well as DBT for effective self-regulation.

Additionally, Dr. Houghton’s area of expertise is psychological testing with a focus on developmental difficulties, personality, and Therapeutic Assessment.

Dr. Shawna Benson is a clinical health service psychologist and an affiliated provider with Insights Psychology.  She provides training, consultation, and supervision to our team. Dr. Benson has been a practicing clinical psychologist in Minnesota since 2005.

Dr. Benson enjoys helping clients through the psychological testing and evaluation process of bariatric weight loss surgery, international adoption, and general mental health assessments.

Dr. Benson works mostly with adolescents and adults going through life transitions, mental health challenges, addictions (dual issues of substance abuse problems with mental health difficulties), trauma recovery, and relationship struggles.

Dani is pursuing her doctoral degree in counseling psychology (PsyD) at the University of Saint Thomas. Dani is in her 2nd year in the program and has 2 years’ experience providing clinical services under supervision from running a DBT group, couples therapy, family therapy and individual therapy for wide range of individuals. Dani works with children, adolescents, and adults.

Dani utilizes an integrative approach to therapy while combining Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Through teaching skills to help manage emotions and improve relationships and identifying ineffective thought patterns and behaviors, Dani’s priority is to support individuals while they gain confidence, independence, and competency to live a more fulfilling life.

Ms. Jenna Rausch is a pre-licensed Assessment Practicum student at Insights Psychology. Jenna starts her practicum at Insights Psychology in September 2024. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology (PsyD) at Augsburg University. She is beginning her second year in the program and has previous clinical experience during her time in the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities educational/school psychology Master’s program. She has provided a wide range of assessments and therapeutic interventions to elementary and middle school age children in the Twin Cities metro area.

Jenna enjoys working with individuals experiencing an array of presenting concerns. She is excited to expand her practice to working with children, adolescents and adults. She has particular interests in severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), anxiety and mood disorders, as well as eating disorders. Jenna is especially interested in working with older adolescent and young adult populations. Ms. Vivienne Namujuzi is a pre-licensed Advanced Practicum Student at Insights Psychology. Vivienne starts her practicum in September 2024. She will be seeing clients for psychological assessments and psychotherapy. Vivienne is currently completing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Augsburg University. She holds a Masters in Social Work degree from The University of St. Thomas, a BA in Psychology and a BSW from St. Catherine University.

Professional Interest

Vivienne is a Social Justice, Human Rights and Mental Health Advocate with vast experience as a mental health professional; working with children and adults experiencing Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), trauma, suicidal ideation/thoughts, non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors, chronic pain, physical and cognitive disabilities, homelessness, crises, and those in need of social support and services. She has training and experience in; Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Crisis Intervention and De-escalation, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) and conducting psychological assessments. Kari Holmes, MA

Ms. Kari Holmes is a pre-licensed therapy practicum student at Insights Psychology. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in counseling psychology (PsyD) at the University of Saint Thomas. Kari is in her second year in the program and has three years experience providing clinical services under supervision.

Kari believes that we are created for joy, but life can interrupt and disrupt our experience of it, especially when we have experienced trauma. It is her honor, as a therapist, to walk alongside her clients, as they unpack their experiences and then lean into a process of exploration to find growth and healing. Kari utilizes numerous therapeutic approaches, including CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, body awareness, and psychodynamic therapy. Kari’s compassion for trauma survivors is deep, and she utilizes a trauma-informed approach in therapy. Kari will happily invite her clients to explore their spiritual nature and support them free of judgment.

Kari enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults on a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress/adjustment issues, body image/body dysmorphia, and other issues. Kari enjoys working with teens 12+, couples and families; she has a special passion for working with adolescents and young adults. Having worked for 20 years as a nutritionist and personal trainer, Kari has cultivated her passion for a holistic approach to health and wellness. Her interests in nutrition and mental health are currently driving her dissertation pursuits as she explores the impact of malnutrition on the mental health of adolescents.
